This painting was after Thomas Sidney Cooper who I admired immensely – 1803–1902 – This was an original watercolour on paper – Tate Gallery – and I transformed into an oil painting. Thomas Sidney Cooper was born in St Peter’s Street in Canterbury Kent and as a small child he began to show strong artistic inclinations. He turn out the be one of the most leading popular painters of Victorian period.
